The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) on Feb. 16 ranked Hiawatha Academies among 35 high-quality charter schools in the state. This designation is based on scholars’ academic proficiency and growth on standardized tests, the financial health of the organization and operational excellence. This is the latest of many awards the charter network has received that demonstrate a track record of increasing student achievement.

“I am proud of our scholars for their dedication to their studies,” said Eli Kramer, executive director. “I have no doubt that their hard work, combined with inspiration from our amazing teachers and staff, will ensure their continued success on their journey to and through college.”

MDE creates the list of high-quality charter schools annually to determine which charter schools are eligible to compete for certain grant and award opportunities. Learn more on the MDE website.
