Player Profile: Ari Flores Diaz

Ari's leadership as our captain is remarkable. She truly faces any challenge and encourages others to overcome their fears during the game. Ari is great at making our team unified and fun. We are so grateful to have her as a Varsity soccer athlete and also for the extra responsibility of being a captain for the last 3 years.

At the end of the Fall 2022 season, Ari received an All Conference Award and our school's MVP award. Each of these awards goes to someone who truly makes a positive difference in the lives of her teammates both on and off the field. She helped the team accomplish her dream goal of winning the EMAC Conference Championship.

As a key striker for our team, Ari can play the full 90 minutes with ease, control, and endurance. She can dictate the pace of the game. During her 2022 season, she scored 25 goals with 11 assists, in addition to 2 hat tricks. This 2023 season, she served as a center midfielder who connected the possession and was the central voice of the team, securing 12 goals this season in this pivotal central role.

Whether rallying her team through playing hard to the final whistle, giving a pep talk at halftime, or staying after to help someone practice their touch, Ari is most valuable in every aspect of our team's growth. Ari is also a student leader at HCHS as a member of the National Honors Society, By the Students for the Students, Student Council, and serves as the grade level representative. If someone were to ask what a leader should look like, Ari Flores Diaz is the most perfect example we could ever provide. Congratulations, Ari, on your acceptance to Dakota County Technical College on a full-ride athletic scholarship to play soccer.
